I really liked that one. Somehow it made me think of an odd kind of Tarzan story:

"Abandoned as a child and raised by drummers, Milt Lee lives a peaceful life in the urban jungle, calling on his street musician friends only when the city is in great peril..."

A collection of a few video bits from the first week after we got Hazel the Hamster. She was only a few weeks old, but already starting to show her acrobatic talents.

Once again, live location sound provided by a nearby television. This time I recognize some sounds from "Grand Designs", an advert for "Norwich Union insurance", and some kind of medical or lifestyle documentary.

(Length: 2:56) In the kids' area at the county fair this year there stood a small stage in front of a couple of benches. There was no schedule of performers or showcases, just a live gooseneck microphone at a kid-friendly height. When we first walked past, a couple of girls were using it to sing "Happy Birthday" together. The boy appeared not to take notice. A few minutes later, however, when there was no one on stage and no one in the audience, he wandered up the ramp, muttered a few words into the microphone, and stepped back down again. After a few more tentative experiments, he marched back up and launched into a complete song, an En Vogue number from Sesame Street (complete with the requisite melisma). While his diction is... imprecise, his rhythm is surprisingly good. He even attempts to sing much of the song while inhaling, in his attempt to keep the beat. I have included the song in its entirety, so nota bene. The general shakiness of the video is due to the effect of Christa's foot tapping on the bench on which we were seated.

Barcelona’s streets are always plenty of buskers that plays their music in every free space, I like so much to listen their rythms and fusions. Those ones are at least funny.

My hotel was a good mile from the ALA2008 conference. One morning, I had to walk through a line of picketers outside Disneyland - it felt odd.

Oh Canada, very trippy, and a really nice flag. I have always thought that Canada had a really good looking flag. Big old maple leaf - how cool. Hmmmm....what would be a cool US flag? The peace symbol - yep that would be nice. We could do it in lots of colors - like M-TV And it should be nice and chubby - like us.

Finally…Canada Day. I've been sitting with the flag since last fall.
If you recall I won the flag on eBay. It cost me $1.00 with free pickup.
Finally the day is here.

This was interesting. I'm afraid I didn't quite get the "painter's birthday dinner" aspect. My thought is that it was a try-out for dancers, and we were watching the dancers waiting. Did I miss it all together. It had a dada feeling that was good.

Well, last thursday we went downtown, and had some fun - dancing - playing music, and just laughing! This is Jamie Lee being taken away by some drummers we found on the street.

The worlds first screening of a 'dooble-voodle' is showing in two frames two views taken out of a window of a hiper-speed train traveling through Tokyo - 2008.03.08.
Be aware that the dooble-voodle starts with just one single frame and no sound... 'The Beginning and The End' starts after approximately three minutes runtime and ends at the end right before the voodle ends... Tokyo on the other hand never ends and ends and ends...
Thanks to ISIS for the permission to adapt their unbelievable persistent and insistant music for this world-premier of a dooble-voodle-video-work! Turn up the volume!
