It was to my great joy, upon returning home from work some weeks ago, The Sprite had not only asked for some computer time, he had managed to power the iBook up, find his Nemo game in the Dock and start playing. Brought a tear to my eye, made me so proud. Unfortunately the radiation or something got to him after a while and caused a freak out of Sean Penn proportions.

Thursday Morning and MORE SNOW!!

We had a two our delay which was enough time for me to wake up nice and slow. Then I went out and did some snowblowing. It’s amazing how an extra two hours in the morning can make for a much more enjoyable day.

But this is a fun video showing the snow clean up! Snowblowing can be LOTS of fun!!!

Back in the 60’s, Dr. Rita Smilkstein found herself in a situation where she needed to take a job as a substitute teacher. And as we all know the substitute is on the bottom of the academic heap. What she didn’t know was that this would be the beginning of a journey that she’s been traveling ever since. Through her career as a teacher, Rita discovered that we are all natural born learners and that when given the opportunity, everybody can learn using the Natural Human Learning Process. bruges is an insanely old city in belgium. therefore lots of tourists, including us, go there. it was really beautiful, but also depressingly lonely. this side trip really made me realize that traveling to any city is really only cool if you know people and are doing cool things. i’m a terrible tourist, all i want to do is either sleep or work. see old buildings and museums? nah!

From Paris to Clermont, meeting with some vips from ze entertainment & political business and also some friends.

Here is one of the videos we made during our Super Tuesday coverage for The Uptake. This one takes place outside City Hall in San Francisco, where we met a man with a very large graph and pie chart, banging his hippie drum. Of course we had to talk to him!

Jackson West and I had a great time on Super Tuesday. We went to both Ron Paul’s and Hillary Clinton’s parties as well as did some exit polls at City Hall; sometimes we went live with some interviews. A great experience, and it will be interesting to see how these technologies change the way we give and receive information. Could be very powerful, or could just be more noise– how they are used will decide that.

jerusalem snow

it snowed in Jerusalem for a couple of days. the first day many of the roads were closed. the stores close - the city shuts down. my workplace was closed for both days (so a long weekend for some!). the second day by mid morning the sun was out and sky was blue.
